not with a bang
this is the way the duck season ends
this is the way the duck season ends
this is the way the duck season ends
not with a bang but a whimper
went out with oldfatslow (scott) to the st johns river for the close of the season. didnt see many birds in the air and none in our decoys. we finally decided to try and walk up some snipe and instead of snipe i found a duck. i ended the day with 1 mottled drake and scott with a snipe. we had a good time and the 2 hour boat drive up the river to scotts spot is a beautiful sight.

Yeah, it did end up being a bit of a whimper day. I guess sometimes you've got to take your chances and dare to eat a peach. See you next season.

'Have enjoyed the great pictures!!!
These last few post have been very enjoyable. I have only 7 months to go until the opening of the Canadian season, but that's still too long. The incredible color of the ducks this time of year never ceases to amaze me - great photos, too.
Are those Wilson's Snipe that you're chasing?
