nc trout fishing day 1

Got out this afternoon for a couple of hours after we arrived. The water is very low which makes for tough fishing. My usual holes a very shallow and the deep holes are barely moving. I did find a few trout but hope to find many more in the morning.

bustn bream

vince was kind enough to take me along with he and his kids fishing for bream on lake kissimmee. the wind was kicking around 18 mph which made it hard to fish but we caught some bream and had a blast.

basic bass

i went bass fishing today for the first time since i sold my bass boat last summer. since i no longer have a boat and vince couldnt fish till after "yard sale duty," i decided to hit up the shore early this morning. i packed light and only took two rods. one rigged with an okeechobee colored zoom trick worm and one rigged with an arkansas shiner zoom fluke. there have been large schools of shad in the lake and the bass have been active. i caught several bass early. nothing huge but it sure was nice to fight some large mouths. i tried to grab some action shots but its not easy fighting a fish and taking photos at the same time. vince and his son, henry, joined me mid morning for a few casts but the fish had stopped biting for the most part because of the heat.
